<h3>What is manganese measured for?</h3>
<p>Manganese (Mn) occurs naturally in groundwater and at high concentrations can lead to black deposits in pipes, discoloration and an unpleasant taste. <strong>The limit value for drinking water is 0.05 mg/l Mn</strong> (Drinking Water Ordinance). </p>
<p>In water treatment, manganese must be reliably monitored as it can pollute the filter systems. Photometric measurement enables precise determination over a wide concentration range. </p>
<h3>How does the test set work?</h3>
<p>The CALDUR® Manganese test set is based on the formaldoxime method. After adding three reagents to the water sample, an orange-red coloration develops within 10 minutes, the intensity of which is precisely determined with the WINLAB Data Line photometer. </p>

<h3>What is manganese measured for?</h3>
<p>Manganese (Mn) is a naturally occurring heavy metal that is frequently found in groundwater and surface waters. <strong>The limit value for drinking water is 0.05 mg/l Mn</strong> (Drinking Water Ordinance). </p>
<p>Elevated manganese concentrations lead to black-brown deposits in pipes, discoloration of the water and a metallic taste. In waterworks, manganese must be reliably removed, as even low concentrations can lead to operational disruptions. </p>
<p>Manganese can cause deposits and corrosion in cooling water systems and industrial treatment. Regular monitoring is therefore essential. </p>
<h3>How does the test set work?</h3>
<p>The CALDUR® Manganese Test Set &#8211; Colorimetric is based on the formaldoxime method. After adding three reagents to the water sample, a colored complex is formed within 10 minutes, the intensity of which is proportional to the manganese concentration. </p>
<p>The measured value is determined by direct color comparison with a supplied color chart.</p>
