What is the Dist® 3 suitable for?
The Dist® 3 from Hanna Instruments measures electrical conductivity (EC) quickly and reliably in the range 0 to 2000 µS/cm – on site and in the laboratory. Automatic temperature compensation is provided via the open temperature sensor; conductivity and temperature appear simultaneously on the display.

Performing the measurement
- Remove the protective cap and briefly rinse the electrode with distilled water
- Calibrate the device with the 1413 µS/cm standard solution if necessary (automatic 1-point calibration)
- Immerse the electrode in the sample until the temperature sensor is covered
- Allow the reading to stabilise – conductivity and temperature are displayed simultaneously
- After measuring, rinse the electrode and store it dry and clean
Tip for best results
Use a fresh conductivity standard solution for calibration. Conductivity is temperature-dependent – the ATC compensates for this automatically.
Important notes
- The electrode is a wear part and must be replaced when its response deteriorates
- Keep the device dry and clean
