Iron (Fe) is a common parameter in water analysis. Elevated iron concentrations lead to brown discoloration, a metallic taste and deposits in pipes. The limit value for drinking water is 0.2 mg/l Fe (Drinking Water Ordinance).
The HRS test set (High Range Sensitive) is specially designed for higher concentrations up to 10 mg/l and is particularly suitable for groundwater, well water and industrial applications where elevated iron levels frequently occur.
The CALDUR® Iron HRS test set is based on the o-phenanthroline method. The reagent forms an orange-red complex with iron(II) ions, the concentration of which is precisely determined photometrically.
Ideal for groundwater and industrial applications with high iron levels
