Ready-to-use buffer solution with a defined pH value of 7.01 for calibrating pH meters and measuring electrodes.
pH electrodes change their measuring behaviour over time and depending on use (drift, ageing, contamination). To keep readings reliable, pH meters must be calibrated regularly against solutions with an exactly known pH value. The pH 7.01 calibration solution provides this defined reference value.
The electrode is immersed in the buffer solution and the reading on the device is adjusted to the setpoint of 7.01. For higher accuracy, a two- or three-point calibration with several buffer values is recommended (typically pH 7.01 as the zero point plus pH 4.01 and/or pH 10.01).
Reliable basis for accurate pH measurements
Suitable for all common pH meters and measuring electrodes
Ensures consistently accurate and reproducible results
Ready for immediate use – no preparation or dilution required
Use the solution at room temperature if possible (approx. 25 °C) and discard the portion taken after use – never pour it back into the storage bottle. This keeps the reference solution uncontaminated.
