Why clean the measuring chamber regularly?
The analysers of the SYCON series measure through a measuring chamber made of acrylic glass. During continuous operation, soiling and incrustations accumulate there and can impair the measurement. Regular cleaning ensures reliable operation and accurate readings – and extends the service life of the measuring chamber.
A complete set for easy cleaning
The SYCON Clean cleaning set bundles everything you need for the regular cleaning of the measuring chamber in a practical box: the special cleaner FIT 3000 as well as brushes, a funnel, protective gloves and instructions. This keeps the right tools always at hand – without having to source the components individually.
How is it cleaned?
Cleaning is done with the included FIT 3000 cleaner. The funnel and brushes make it easier to decant and to remove stubborn incrustations, while the gloves protect when handling the cleaning fluid. You can find the complete step-by-step instructions further below under “Application”.

Cleaning interval
How often the measuring chamber should be cleaned depends on the device type as well as on the ambient conditions and the water quality. Guide values per device:

At high water or ambient temperatures, or with organically contaminated water, the cleaning intervals may need to be shortened. Cleaning the measuring chamber takes about 20 minutes.
How to clean the measuring chamber
Cleaning is done with the included special cleaner FIT 3000. The funnel and brushes make it easier to decant and to remove stubborn incrustations, while the gloves protect when handling the cleaning fluid.
- Observe the regulations for handling irritant cleaning fluids (protective gloves, safety goggles).
- Remove all plugged-in and screwed-in parts from the measuring chamber – except the fastening pins.
- Pour FIT 3000 cleaning fluid into the cleaning tray.
- Wet the measuring chamber with the fluid and let it act depending on the degree of soiling (up to 24 hours for heavy soiling).
- Remove stubborn incrustations with a brush.
Note: After reinstallation, air bubbles initially form on the inner wall of the measuring path; these dissolve after about 1 to 2 days.

The included FIT 3000 cleaner is an irritant cleaning fluid. Wear the supplied protective gloves and safety goggles and observe the safety data sheet.
