The B7400 traffic light is a single-colour signal light for escalators and moving walks – available in green or red. It is designed for installation in balustrades.
Use at escalators and moving walks
Signal lights from RLS Wacon show passengers whether the unit is cleared or blocked: green clears the direction of travel, red signals that the unit is blocked. The bright, homogeneous LED illumination remains clearly visible even in ambient light.

Field of use
The signal light is mounted on the access side of escalators and moving walks and shows passengers whether the unit is cleared (green) or blocked (red).
Operating principle
The display uses backlit LEDs and offers high optical contrast with homogeneous illumination and low power consumption. Nothing is visible on the display when de-energised. Optionally, the traffic light is available with function monitoring for connection to a remote diagnostics system.
Installation
- Insert the traffic light into the cut-out provided in the balustrade.
- Connect the operating voltage (see Technical data).
- For versions with function monitoring, connect the monitoring output to the remote diagnostics system.
Maintenance & cleaning
- Regularly inspect the front lens and display visually.
- Clean the front lens with a soft cloth if dirty – the front lens is replaceable.
- For versions with function monitoring: check fault messages in the remote diagnostics system.
Important notes
- Nothing is visible on the display when de-energised.
- Order fastening material separately (traffic light fastening set).
- Install only when de-energised.
