The RMS-AT-Adj radar sensor with adjustable sensitivity serves as a motion detector for approaching objects. It can be mounted directly in the application. The optimum sensitivity can then be precisely adjusted.

Use on escalators and moving walks

Radar sensors from RLS Wacon detect approaching passengers on escalators and moving walks and act as direction-dependent motion detectors for the automatic activation (return to readiness) of the unit. The escalator starts as passengers approach and switches to stand-by during traffic pauses – saving energy and reducing wear. Compared with pyroelectric detectors, radar technology works in a direction-dependent manner and is less sensitive to environmental influences.
