Why clean the measuring chamber regularly?
The online analysers of the SYCON and LIMES series measure through an acrylic-glass measuring chamber. During continuous operation, deposits and encrustations can build up there and impair the measurement. Regular cleaning ensures reliable operation and accurate readings – and extends the service life of the measuring chamber.
The new cleaner with an improved formula
WACON AcrylClean was developed specifically for the acrylic-glass measuring chambers of the online analysers of the SYCON and LIMES series. The new formula cleans with improved cleaning power and reliably dissolves deposits. AcrylClean is not a hazardous substance and has a low environmental impact – so it can be shipped easily and inexpensively, even by air. The bottle contains 1000 ml (1 litre).
Note: Test suitability before use on other parts, especially non-detachable parts made of other materials and at bonded joints. No liability is accepted.
Available as a cleaning set and as a refill bottle
WACON AcrylClean is available as a practical cleaning set (item no. 30-010910) with bottle and accessories in a box, and as a 1000 ml refill bottle (refill, item no. 30-010911). This keeps the right cleaner for measuring-chamber care always at hand.

Cleaning interval
How often the measuring chamber should be cleaned depends on the device type as well as on the ambient conditions and the water quality. Guide values for devices of the SYCON series:

For devices of the LIMES series, please refer to the information in the respective operating manual. At high water or ambient temperatures, or with organically contaminated water, the cleaning intervals may need to be shortened. Cleaning the measuring chamber takes about 20 minutes.
How to clean the measuring chamber
Cleaning is done with WACON AcrylClean.
- Remove all plugged-in and screwed-in parts from the measuring chamber – except the fastening pins.
- Pour WACON AcrylClean into the cleaning tray.
- Wet the measuring chamber with the fluid and let it act depending on the degree of soiling (up to 24 hours for heavy soiling).
- Remove stubborn incrustations with a brush.
- Reinstall the parts.
Note: After reinstallation, air bubbles initially form on the inner wall of the measuring path; these dissolve after about 1 to 2 days.

WACON AcrylClean is not a hazardous substance and is environmentally friendly. For clean working, we nevertheless recommend wearing protective gloves.
