Adapter cable for E version
The adapter cable (4 m) connects the module chains of the E version to the TLCU22-04 central unit. Available for the transmitter side, the receiver side or as a pair (transmitter + receiver). The matching adapter cable is required for each escalator side.

Areas of application
Field of use
Automatic restart systems (WBS) are used on escalators and moving walks in public and commercial passenger transport and automatically release the unit again after an emergency stop as soon as nobody is on it any more. The E version is designed for escalators made by Schindler and ThyssenKrupp and is recommended for new installations.
Operating principle
The light curtain uses up to 99 light barriers to create a vertical safety light grid across the escalator. Each light barrier consists of a transmitter module and a receiver module; if a person interrupts a light beam, the TLCU central unit detects the occupancy and withholds the release. The system works independently of ambient light and is self-monitoring and self-configuring according to EN 115:2008 (Cat. 4 / SIL 3).
Connection
- Connect the adapter cable to the end of the module chain.
- Connect the other end to the TLCU22-04 central unit.
- Use either transmitter, receiver or pair (transmitter + receiver) for each escalator side.
Important notes
- Use the matching type (transmitter/receiver) for each escalator side.
- Connect only to the TLCU22-04 central unit.
- Work only when de-energised.
