The radar sensor RMS-CV-Adj with adjustable sensitivity serves as a motion detector for approaching objects. It can be mounted directly in the application. The optimum sensitivity can then be set precisely.

Use on escalators and moving walks

Radar sensors from RLS Wacon detect approaching passengers on escalators and moving walks and serve as direction-dependent motion detectors for the automatic release (restart) of the unit. The escalator starts on approach and switches to stand-by during traffic pauses – this saves energy and wear. Compared to pyroelectric detectors, radar technology works direction-dependently and is less sensitive to environmental influences.
